advaitaCongress 2019 Impressions

Stay in Touch

Impressions from the advaitaCongress 2019 which took place between 30th of October and 3rd of November at Schloss Thalheim near Vienna. For the first time the event was organised in collaboration with Bernhard und Elena Köll. It is a first step of the reorientation for the OM Foundation Inner Science.

Vishnudevananda

This congress already had tradition in Russia and was organised by Swami Vishnudevananda, a spiritual teacher in the tradition of Advaita Vedanta and Yoga from Russia. He came with some of his monks and nuns and gave Satsang and initiations into holy scriptures.

aC OM

OM C. Parkin, spiritual master from Germany, gave a lecture on the first evening, introducing the advaita teachings and the Eternal Philosophy and teaching the basic pillars of the highest teaching of truth and love. The Darshan, which was filled to the last seat the next day, was one of the highlights of the congress. And – for the first time publicly – people could experience Sacred Movements (very slow archetypal sacred movements and attitudes) with him.

aC Menschen

“We laughed and cried together and immersed ourselves in the silence and vastness of this moment” as one of the 140 participants wrote. The participants had many questions to the teachers and masters and could explore what they had heard and let themselves be touched by the silence. The supporting program offered different forms of bodywork, meditations, mantra singing and much more…

aC Igor Kufayev

Igor Kufayev, Ukrainian Advaita Tantra teacher and Shaktipat master, shared his touching “Breathing through the Heart” meditation in addition to Darshan. The participants were able to come into a deep contact with their innermost self and being in this moment through the refined awareness of the breath flow.

Sumiran

Swami Dharma Sumiran is a master of the Advaita Vedanta tradition who has learned from Kamal and Indian masters. In Satsang, deep wisdom and insights came through him, and a joyful, lively togetherness. People were also impressed by zazen and qi gong with Sumiran. waren die Menschen beeindruckt.

Thalheim

Schloss Thalheim provided a worthy setting for the event and offered space to take a walk, meditate in the beautiful grotto or sit in front of the fireplace in the teahouse. In this way, the different communities and cultures came closer together and formed a flowing unity.

“This place is worthy of this teaching! Silent spaces that touch and nurture the inner silence. Powerful place. I followed my inner flow and could witness that it was like an irrigation of my energy flow – to “take to myself” the different powers of the Teaching that came from one and the same source.”

Unmani

Unmani, as the female form of the teacher, brought very touching moments to the advaitaCongress (many handkerchiefs were needed!). She has been holding Satsang for 13 years and calls her meetings “Meeting in Truth”. A free movement meditation with music brought people into the physical expression of the life energy.

Schlosser

Together with Florian Schlosser and his unique approach Embodying Consciousness the participants were invited to unfold all forms of expression of human life and to be a mature embodiment of consciousness.

Manish

On the last evening the internationally known Indian musician Manish Vyas gave a concert with his band. There was dancing, clapping, singing and silently listening to the sounds. A fascinating musical journey.

aC Finale

At the end of advaitaCongress 2019, OM, Igor, Unmani and Sumiran came together and answered questions about the inner path, love and truth, the teacher-student relationship and much more. The answers came through each teacher in his or her own special way and yet it was noticeable that through all of them the ONE enters the room and connects them. Much gratitude, appreciation and joy was shared by the participants:

“You have brought the advaita teaching into my heart with much care, love and intuition. Thank you”

“The congress with its different aspects of teaching was very beneficial, enriching and complementary. It brought spirituality very close, very practical, almost tangible. The days made a deep impression, left deep traces in me and laid a trail out of the jungle of the ego.”
